Halligtree is terrible

This is the worst designed area in a game. I have died maybe 20 times up to this point, here i died over a 100 times alone. Apparently throwing 10 hard enemies at you at once is now difficulty. This area is trash, complete and utter dogs**t design.

Less a haligtree issue, more if anything pacing the scaling out in a more granular manner. Come back when practically all else is finished - unless undoing a certain ending route. Then for lore reasons, this is the fully optional way to select the other endings, again. It's bonus content.

the only real bs part of that area is the erdtree avatar and the 2 knight guys and they're easier if you go behind them first

everything else is pretty normal stuff for the game

I know it may sounds shocking, but...have you tried getting good ? It helps most of the times. The other times is when mental illness is at play and you just have to admit that it's a lost cause before you get better, at the health level.

I kinda disliked every area after Leyndell during my 2nd playthrough, so i just sped through them only grabbing what i actually need.
