New DLC better ruin seamless co-op for good
You shouldnt be able to get carried through the game without being invaded. I hope Miyazaki has added some code blocking to their mod, and also send a cease and desist letter. PVP has been part of the souls franchise forever and they arent respecting fromsoft's vision by avoiding it when in co-op mode.

Reminder the person who made the seamless co op mod injected cheated items into an invaders account to get them banned off of DS3.
That wasnt the Mod author. That was ME

You are my favorite person in this thread now, even if this isn't true.

This whole mod seems like an egregious violation of the ToS.

Says right there, clear as day, that players aren't allowed to alter the game, and doing so many result in a ban.

I dunno if the person who makes that mod is hosting their own servers or whatever, but I certainly wouldn't use that on my main account; as tempting as open world without having to resummon is.

the mod uses peer to peer connection p2p. So you can even do split screen with it if you want

The clause you listed is only there for legality reasons regarding pirating.

All games have it, Even games that the devs support being modded. Bethesda releases mod kits for fallout games yet that same line is in their TOS as well.

The mod is peer2peer. There's a document that you edit with a password and then the person you're playing with has to put that password in their document as well in order to connect. You use a special launcher to disable EAC and play that way.

You don't play with the same save as the main game. Seamless has it's own separate saves. The summoning tool is a modified item meaning EAC would detect it and ban over it. The author very clearly warns on the mod page about this.

There's absolutely no harm in playing the mod. It's not connected to the main game. Grab some friends and try it out.

Now that is true twinking, and a true gate. NG+. The only way to truly twink is to have copies of uniques.

It's definitely some of the most extreme, and I'm glad that you're at least willing to agree twinking is possible to some extent. I still wouldn't agree that it's the only true method of twinking, though.

Yes the kindred you can sneak past and ride directly to Faroth.
And then just run past the enemies to get the loot. That's easy to do. You don't really have to fight anything, that's the point. You can even summon the wolves there to keep aggro for a bit.

Would a new player know how close Faroth is to Bestial Sanctum? Heck, even if you get past the gargoyle and the militia, both of which are so grossly overtuned for an early game character that trying to engage with them will send the clear signal that this area is beyond them, they need to then also get past Greyll on the bridge.

I think a lot of players would be strongly inclined to not go exploring in an area where everything 1-2 hit kills them, the ground is made of mushroom cancer, the sky is red, and the background music is ominous violins lol.

No it's actually true...

Wait, what happened? Is this real?

i kinda agree, they are being little ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and don't know how to take an L

if you can't die in a video game, you're a little chicken ♥♥♥♥, its just a game

Look, as you said, it's a video game. People aren't obligated to prove themselves for the privilege of playing it.
As a new player the riding to explore stuff is the very first thing I did.
I got radagon soreseal and the medallion half on my first playtrough and I didn't know what it is even for.
Militia is VERY easy to sneak by and is VERY easy to backstab. It was my first rune farm.
Dragon you can just ride past. Just ride forward. If you're scared there is an unguarded bridge to the down left as well.
You keep thinking the "new player" is somebody who lacks cognitive function and curiosity, someone who NEEDS rails to find stuff. That is simply not true.

Meh, I don't really mind getting invaded that badly, and I don't really hate the fog walls. I have a way more ce la vie approach to the game. I already know I'm going to sink hundreds of hours in so I just kinda care less. Just lost 800k runes to that discount Guts and didn't even notice till after I killed him, lol.

This post and some of the people in it really reek of "superiority complex" and narcissism.

Yall make me ashamed to be a Souls fan.

The mod isn't just about not being invaded. In fact you can turn pvp on if you want.
The mod is a great way to experience the whole game with your friend. I think the base game kind of sucks, But as a co-op dungeon looter the game is actually pretty fun.

Also, You can coop with your friends while modding your game. Mod in weapons, armor, bosses etc. Make the game harder.

Dracos the only one who says the mod is for avoiding invasions and that's just because he likes to make videos of him seal clubbing newbies during invasions.

The mod doesn't use the official service provided from from software, i.e. it doesn't violate the ToS since the ToS is valid only under the use of From Software's service

These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as the "TOS") shall apply to any matters between Players, as defined in the TOS, and FromSoftware, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") of the use of online services (hereinafter referred to as the "Services") for the game software, "ELDEN RING" (hereinafter referred to as the "Software") developed by the Company. Players shall use the Services in accordance with the TOS. Should any Player fail to consent to the TOS, such Player may not use the Services. Players shall be deemed to have consented to the TOS when using the Services.

It says "Players shall use the Services in accordance with the TOS", not "Players shall use the Software in accordance with the TO", meaning that you can do whatever you want while using the software but not the service

Just imagine his face when he read this after having made that fake Bandai's support ticket 😂
A fake support ticket?

A fake support ticket?
He posted a screenshot where a supposed Bandai Namco's employee said that he was right about seamless being against ToS. There are just two scenarios: the employee do not know what's written on the ToS or draco just made a fake. The most quoted is his screenshot being fake

He also claimed that From was going to burn the mod via a DMCA claim.

Seems those were some poor bets.

Yeah he really got unlucky betting on something he knew was fake and a lie.
