You only need to be able to hold it and then statdump Int, since the weapon art only scales off of Int. Do not forget the Shard of Alexander and the Magic-Shrouded Cracked Tear for the Physick and then have fun!
For the best PvE Katana build, you should check out the Rivers of Blood for a Bleed build. Blood loss is a percentage-based damage burst, so it always stays relevant on higher NG cycles like you are.

That's it i think? Bonking makes some bosses easy mode but not all. Can't think of much else that's of actual consequence. Builds in PVE don't really matter it's all about using the most OP or unbalanced crap you can find.
I know about katana bleed build, but surprised it still good in NG+.
