What are some Builds for DLC
Just wondering how everyone is planning to play shadow of the erdtree, steam rolling through with lev 200 characters wont be very fun so any idea what builds would be interesting and at what levels?

Miyazaki said in an interview that there would be a mechanic directly influencing stats in the DLC area besides rune level, so I'm not sure how much/how directly levels will actually have an effect. As for builds, I'm probably going to be trying out new equipment and weapons for the most part, so I don't have a super rigid plan.

Most likely going to rock it with my RL 138 str/int gravity & cold infused weapons toon.

60 vig, 16 mind, 34 end, 54 str, 14 dex, 20 int, 12 fth - FYI.

20 int is for falling beast jaw and the 12 fth for beastial vitality.

Well, you can poison yourself with the meat dumplings.

I'm curious though, why the dual staves? What's the advantage? Also I was under the impression that dual daggers are underwhelming.

dump all your levels into intelligence but don't cast anything at all
use dagger in left hand
buckler in right hand

usually people use bonus from one or both.
so if you have the fast staff in offhand, you're casting with the +power staff in main hand for speed and power

Looks like they're both the Prince of Death staff though. Oh well, looks like it's mostly a cosmetic-centric build anyway.

20% bonus damage for death magic. Ancient rancors and ghostflame explosion in this case.

Probably going to replace the two black knifes with Crepus crossbow. Will have acces to all negative status like rot, sleep and poison.

Ah, I see, the bonuses stack. Gotcha, makes sense.

I will let you know after I beat the DLC.

I'm gonna start a new character shortly before the DLC arrives and probably use a STR build as I haven't played one yet.

I'm a bit burned out at the moment, so I think I'm going to put ER down until the DLC drops, then start a new character. My plan is to play the build I wish I'd played on my first run, but didn't know enough about the game to know it was the build I wanted.

STR/FTH, 2H Heavy Great Stars with Prayerful Strike, Icon Shield on the back, Crucible set with Bullgoat greaves and talisman for 101+ poise and drip, offhand seal for weapon and self buffs. Basically a sort of regen tank. Probably throw the Grafted Dragon in there as a backup weapon for the luls (plus it's actually a decent weapon).

Not sure when I'll start the DLC. I may decide I at least want that fourth talisman slot. Wouldn't hurt to grab the Dragoncrest Greatshield talisman either, although that means doing most of the Haligtree. I plan to do a full clear of the game anyway, I'm just not planning on doing it all before the DLC.
