Will Mimic Ash 2 hand my weapon?

I 2 hand my weapon to have enough Strength. Will my mimic 2 hand it or will I have to boost my Strength significantly to avoid the mimic being nerfed when it 1 hands it?

Mimic Tear can't change its hand slots (so only the two weapons you have equipped the moment you summon it will be available to it), I'm not sure if this affects twohanding though.

It will 2h the wep sometimes, especially if you have a seal or staff offhand. Also it mimics you the moment you summon it, i.e. if you summon it while 2 handing a sword, it starts off 2 handing it

It sounds like I may need to be well prepared before every time I use it or spend the 15 points to get my strength from 16 to 31 instead of just the 5 to get it to 21. (I'm using Radagon's Soreseal ATM)
