I have an issue playing with my Stadia controller. L2 and R2 don't seem to do anything. I've never had this issue before on Elden Ring and I have no issue whatsoever on Dark Souls 3 rn. Could someone help me?

I tried changing my keybinds ingame (they were set as LT and RT) but when doing so, the game doesn't recognize the inputs : when I choose the weapon art input and press L2 on my controller, it doesn't show anything. Weird thing though, when I press A + L2 (A being roll/run) it actually does the weapon art.
I'm sorry if I'm difficult to understand, English isn't my native language.

Did you check the stadia controller settings for Elden Ring on Steam itself?

Steam can have custom mappings on a per game basis; it's possible there's one set up for ER.

Maybe try resetting the Steam button mapping to default just in case. I feel like the fact that A + R2/L2 does the R2/L2 function is a clue. However, I am not familiar with Stadia controllers or any specifics that may relate to them. In other words, I am stumped. Sorry.

If you ever find the reason or fix, please share it here to help others finding themselves troubled with this peculiar issue!

I'm having the same issue with my stadia controller. Would you mind explaining what you did to fix it?

Game was working fine yesterday and then I started having this problem. What I've noticed is that pretty much any button input command paired with the R2 or L2 commands will do the R2 or L2 Command. Checking the steam layout didn't show anything weird, it had R2 and L2 inputs for Long pulls, and I added Soft pulls to no effect.

Guided by the clues Cat gave, I downloaded ViGEm, a virtual controller support tool, and Stadia-ViGEM. This makes the computer think the controller is an Xbox controller, and Elden Ring has its own support and mapping for those. Lastly, I downloaded Hidhide to prevent dual inputs.
