In all seriousness though I'm fine with a $40 price tag so long as the experience is much more curated and balance with much less copy and paste encounters. And large enough to actually justify the purchase, it probably is but that won't stop me or others from expressing cautiousness.
The smartest course of action is to wait and see what the general consensus is once the expansion is released.
I agree, especially when other developers like those of Diablo 4 released a $69 horse skin. To think people complained about the price of Bethesda's horse armor back before my time. Anyone with any amount of concern should just wait to make an educated purchase once it is actually out for the public to play.
That way they can properly evaluate whether the price is worth it. And always one can wait longer till the dlc is on discount during one of the eventual Steam Sales.
So we keep letting the standard drop and move the bar a little closer. Yeah that makes sense
Can you elaborate? I'm not sure where I indicated that we should let the standard drop lower? Also we don't have to buy it right away, most of my purchases anymore are for games and many other things that are older than a year.
There's relatively few things I buy at release or before release anymore, because the quality or value isn't there. And twice is enough times to be burned even if its from other companies.
