Wont argue about the DLC price, but yeah no, Videogames arent cheap, specially if you aim for bigger titles that are usually 50 to 70 dollars.
Going to the movies in the UK is £15 for the ticket. Then food is easily another £10 so thats 25 for about 3 hours entertainment
It is, comparitively, which is what's happening here
Elden ring is a 100+ hour game easily
How much do you think 100 hours of movies cost?
Or the same for music albums (owned, not streamed)
Or literally any other hobby
Even PC's aren't that expensive depending on how long you use it
If you keep a 3000 dollar PC for 5 years it's around 50 dollars a month
Not everyone can buy expensive games whenever they want, which is why they often have to be careful with what they pick to not waste money.
I wouldnt say its a highly expensive hobby (unless youre really into Deluxe and Collectors) but it isnt cheap either.
No we aren't playing that game of using other things to argue price points. We are talking about video games, we are talking about this games price. My point ive been making is if we sit here and buy every big named game as of last year, it would come out to 500+ dollars. Now that games are moving to 70 dollars base, thats even MORE than that.
Gaming is not cheap and not everyone is going to be wealthy enough to throw money at every single game. It sucks that you have to pick and choose what you want if you don't got the money for it. But if that is the case then what you are paying for better be worth the price.
Right now this DLC is NOT worth 40 dollars until more information.
Sports cars are a hobby, a very expensive one, but still a hobby
And yes, gaming is cheap, literally the cheapest form of entertainment per dollar
As someone who has a multitude of hobbies gaming is easily the cheapest one
10+ bosses.
8(?) new weapon classes apparently.
All new Sorceries and Incantations.
Besides, Fromsoft always delivered with the DLCs of the DS series and Bloodborne, so, im confident this DLC wont disappoint.
That is extremely delusional
And if you want to go digital
A high end amp and headphones is more expensive than years worth of AAA games
And again, not everyone can afford to buy multiple AAA+ games in a row blindly.
Most people spend between $10-$20 a day just for lunch at work. if you can't afford what basically comes down to your lunch money for 2 days than YOU ARE POOR. Sorry if this hurts your feelings but it's the truth.
I probably won't buy it until release myself but all this whining about 40 dollars is dumb when people don't know what the dlc has
