I thought he looks like any generic fantasy character. I feel like fromsoft intentionally dumbed down the artstyle and approach for this game to make it more appealing to casuals.
everything in the trailer looked like generic fantasy to me and I mostly like what fromsoftware does.
with that said, their success proves that whatever they did, prints money. so my opinion is iirelevant

My lore guess is that this is a demigod child nobody knew about before, he's got the golden eyes and red hair (i.e. guided by grace and has Radagon's genes), and he's pissed he got disowned by the family. (Since he's got a snake thing going on he might've been allured by the same outer god as Rykard)

Thats my theory thats assuming that marika had no other "deus ex machina children" pulled out of thin air.
