THE REAL QUESTION: Start Fresh With DLC?
Played the game to death at launch. Haven't touched it after I beat it the first time. What are you gonna do when DLC launches? Start fresh or continue with previous character? I am split!

I'm way more curious about how we can access the DLC. It would be great if it's sooner rather than later (I wouldn't even mind starting a new character if that's the case).

I'm currently busy with a "perfect save file", so it would be strange not to continue from this one, made sure not to get to far into new games+, only at +1 at the moment.

What does perfect save file mean exactly?

I hope sooner than later as well. I don't really want to play through the entire game again and grind levels. At the same time, I haven't touched my old character in so long, I do want to start fresh.

Start Fresh, then make your way to another Ending (if you have any). At least that's my plan.

All depends on if DLC REQUIRES end game levels or mid way.

A perfect save (at least to me) is every item and achievement on one character. It's easy to lose track of what build has what item if you constantly make new ones. And to answer the original post question: Keep the character and do an NG+ run. You'll remember the old stuff and the new stuff is still fresh. Downside is it's NG+, so it won't be easy. Upside is you'll get to see the little changes that happen when you go back through, and you keep all your stuff, so no rebuilding time.

Honestly i'd say level 90 is prolly the spot, midgame for most but experienced players can beat endgame content with it

Dunno about you guys, but I'm gonna start fresh and speedrun into the DLC so I can create a bunch of topics where I mald and seethe about how the DLC needs a difficulty nerf for RL 10 players.

I'm fully intending to play through the dlc on a fresh ng+7 run(with the character I first beat the base game on). What better way to encounter new bosses then by fighting them at their hardest?

Another excuse to replay the game? Always take it

I always do fresh. It doesn't take too long to level up a new character, you get to shake the dust off so your not rusty, and you can try a new play style.

This is what I am thinking. I did 100% on my first and only runthrough though so I feel like I explored ALL base content.

Do you think we'll know about possible existing world changes until release? i've been debating on starting fresh or not but my current character is so sick and i'm so attached to it. like i want my character to continue his journey you know? but im also about to hop through playthrough #4. What should i do?? you think ng+4 will be too hard for the DLC?
