Yeah I JUST got this sword a minute ago and have already sombered it up as high as I can for now. Sure, I'll take a golden lightsaber.
Haven't used it in PvE, but an even Dex/Fai split gives you access to every damage type in the game due to the available infusions:
Keen (DEX)
Lightning (DEX)
Flame Art (FAI)
Sacred/Holy (FAI)
Cold (DEX+int)
And even though the Cold infusion doesn't scale the magic damage of the weapon to DEX, any cold weapon arts that use projectiles (like Ice Spear) scale equally with DEX as to INT.
And unlike a pure Faith build, Dex/Fai doesn't need to waste FP just to access Physical or Lightning damage. If you know the enemy's weakness, then pick the right weapon and smash them. You can save your FP for the big buffs like Golden Vow, Blessing's Boon, Black Flame Protection, etc.
You also get access to two additional utility weapons for NPC invader-type enemies: Angel's Wings (to prevent HP flask recovery) and Vyke's War Spear (to stun NPCs with Madness).
There's probably more benefits than this, but it should be enough to make a case for it. But if you don't like what you have, you can always pay Renalla a visit for the respec (just make a save backup before you do that).
Split stats like quality weapons, as i see it, is that it takes longer to hit the soft caps for bonuses to damage. Probably nothing to worry about if you're just at 30/30 but you may see slower damage boosts at 40 and 60. But that's my gut feeling as I haven't churned out the numbers (probably some build calculators out there).
