yes 144 and 60, but wasn't an issue when the game came out back in 2022, it started to happen in preps for a DLC character

Have you done a fresh install of windows since then? Remember to change prefer maximum performance in Nvidia settings, power plan in Windows, all that normal jazz?

Didn't fresh install but I did the integrity of files thing, haven't mess with NVIDIA stuff neither, doesn't happen with apex or cod, or DS1, have read that the freeze also affects DS3 but haven't check it out

also seen a few streamers with the same random freeze which is weird

if you don't wanna fresh install use sfc \scannow in admin cmd prompt.
not saying that will fix it but it will fix corrupted system files at least.

Same issue, I get micro stutters and quick one second frame drops from 100 down to like 20 randomly. I've locked the frame rate to 60 but it still drops frames and stutters. Was also starting a new character for DLC but im gonna wait on buying the DLC in hope that this gets fixed.

They can not fix your Computer, this problem is not gamecode related.

NO WAY DUDE!!! just posted your video, did you fix the issue???
I read in your video description that you verified the game files and reinstalled and that didn't help, so it is worth trying?

It's more accurate to call this a device polling issue. Some devices get spammed with polling requests by Windows to update their readiness status or check for input and this is not limited to controllers and USB ports. It's also been found that older XBox Gamepass games that are downloaded as an HDD image and mounted as a virtual HDD are constantly spammed in the same manner. The same applies to certain devices on your network like WiFi printers, Roku or Amazon streaming devices, and NAS backup / file servers.

One method to check for this is to run Elden Ring in windowed mode with Windows Device Manager open and see if any devices are connecting and disconnecting. If this is the case, you'll see a correlation between this and the stutters.

Looking at your specs, you've got a 9900K CPU. The baseline RAM speed is 2666MT/s. Elden Ring is unusually dependent on RAM bandwidth and optimally needs 3000MT/s (or faster) RAM running in dual channel mode. If you have a RAM kit rated for these speeds, make sure XMP is enabled in the BIOS. Please check this as well because it may also be contributing to some of your stutters.

That's some sick info thanks for explaining!
one thing that I forgot to mention was, that this issue didn't happen in 2022 when the game came out, even when everybody was saying the game was broken, I was able to play it for hours no frame drops, no frezee, same CPU tho, so I don't think that's the issue or even the RAM, again ER is the only game that give me this problem, so in the case of any gpu, cpu, RAM malfunction it would be affecting all the PC not only one specific software right? but also what do I know, I could be wrong and could be those things.
Just a few minutes I used the controller in bluetooth mode and the game gave me a frezee in less than 5 minutes so I don't think is the USB, so next time I'm gonna check the device manager and see if something is going on

You know there where a lot of Updates in Windows since 2022 ?
Some of them screwed the USB Power saving, some even rendered old devices malfunctioning causing random driver restarts and a lot more things happen in the past two years.

And not to forget you can not compare different game engines with each other, fromsofts engine is in some form unique and it is great in reveal System malfunctions with stutters, freezes and crashes.
