Granted Magic Knight doesn't have any real buffs to work with, as sorcery is mostly damage focused. It's also a little harder to optimize because it's gonna need a decent investment in both endurance and mind, but definitely doable.
STR/FTH works exceptionally well by design, but there's 20 million ways to build a paladin with it, depending on what you want to do.
If you want to use electrify armament I'd suggest focusing on strenght and getting the minimal faith for the incantations you want to use, as you cannot buff infused weapons. And no, lighting damage from Electrify Armament does not scale with DEX, it's entirely decided by the faith portion of the incantation scaling on the seal you use to cast it.
It launches a flame sweep then buffs your weapon for like 20-40 seconds I think?
IIRC the initial flame attack scales with STR while the buff scales with weapon level.
You can easily go STR/Faith for this to use other buffs and holy incantations.
My first playthrough was a Str build 2 handing Golden Halberd. I wanted to try something other than STR build again (Also did STR build in DS1, 2 and 3)
