He is matematically correct tho, and it's a well-known fact in min-maxing.
Try and do this test, walk up to any enemy that isn't weak to fire and equip a crossbow, shoot a regular bolt and then a flaming bolt, they have the same total damage but the flaming bolt will do less actual damage because both the physical and the fire resistance will be applied, whereas the regular bolt will only take physical resistance into account.
Also, there's no way your Zweihander hits for 2k per r1 at 55 faith with GW and FGMS. A Flame Art Zwei has 770 AR at 60str/60Fth, 880 AR wit GW, and 1235 AR with GW and FGMS and will do around 1112 damage to a Godrick Soldier.
