Not when you're locked on. I mean, that's the POINT.
Lock-on is just a tool and it primarily exists for folks playing with a controller. Using a mouse negates the drawbacks inherent to a controller by making camera control much easier.
The sudden switching of targets happens when you lose lock-on while having the Auto Lock-on option enabled. Turning it off will at least prevent that.
There has to be some sort of lock on feature that doesn't switch targets by moving the mouse. I've gotten far in the game on several different playthroughs with this handicap. I was hoping that something like this was fixed.
You can spin your character 180 degrees with a button push, just not the camera though.
Lock-on is overused anyways.
Good luck, and don't give up, skeleton.
Yeah I'm to used to how the controls work. I'll just deal with it I guess.
Your attack button is not attached to your camera movement.
Just sayin'. Good luck though, adventurer.
There are plenty of players here that swear by KB/M over controller, so there really isn't a "right or wrong" way.
It's whatever you get used to. As long as you are searching the flame, you'll be aight :)
Learn to play with tank controls to use target lock or learn to play without target lock, either way is playable but no there is no way to avoid this if you keep moving your mouse.
Can not you control your char with WASD (or other scheme) on keyboard?
Because that is basically what I do wiith gamepad, just playing it with tank controls without target lock, my camera can be pointing forward while I attack backward without any problem (or any other direction), I dont need to point the camera where I want to attack, I just need to use its tank controls.
Let me re-phrase...
With a controller, it is much easier to move one way, look another way, and attack in a completely different way, than it is on kb/m.
The whole idea of a controller is that you can move the camera and attack with 2 separate inputs, R1 and right stick, whereas, with a mouse, I have to move my mouse to both look and attack in the same direction.
Just an observation, not a declaration of war lol. Game on.
