Anti cheat ban
Will I get banned if I disable anti cheat for more fps, play offline and then at some point play online again? I don't want to modify anything I just want the fps boost

You will not get banned unless you alter your character in some unnatural way like add more stat points than you would normally have or have modded gear - stuff like that. Plenty of people use a cheat engine offline to dupe consumables/craft items or whatever then turn it off and play online

yes

If you put your game to offline, signs to off, then you should be fine. If you turn them on while the mod is installed the auto system will soft ban you almost instantly

When you remove the mod and try to play online the chance you get banned is 50 / 50. Either you get banned or you don't.

No. don't listen to people that say anything else, they don't know what they are talking about.

To clarify I won't install an fps mod. I will just disable the anti cheat so I can get an fps boost because as far as I know it makes you lose some.

The game won't even let you go online without the anti-cheat enabled so you're pretty safe. I haven't noticed any performance gains by turning off anti-cheat though - maybe if your more towards the minimum specs required to run the game.

Last year I had consistent 60fps on max(without ray tracing) but now I have random 10 fps drops and it goes back to normal no matter what resolution or setting I put it on

If there are no modded aspects of your save file, then it's safe to bring online again after playing offline with disabled EAC.

If you stay offline with that character all will be fine. Never go online with the same character.

any mod you use with anti cheat enable flags your account for a ban
even things as ultrawide mod

I'll throw in my two cents here.

Elden Ring checks your save data for tampering when you log in at game start, either automatically or manually. It looks for things like items that are unobtainable, obviously impossible things like stats being altered outside of their limits, or items, skills, etc that don't exist in the vanilla game. If all you're doing is launching the game without anti-cheat, your save is the same regardless; there's nothing to flag.

I repeat: there is nothing to flag. You will not be banned, soft-banned, or any such similar language. You are effectively just playing offline since the game won't let you connect to the servers without it active.
