incredible stuff
It had been so long since any media has blown me a way like that. Literal moments going "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I can't believe they made this". The first time I heard Rusty go "I won't miss" I just lost it, and the game just kept delivering 😍

Cries of Coral being my personal favorite:

I haven't played an Armored Core since the late 90s, but I may just break down and pick up 6 (likely on console; our gaming PCs are in the upstairs office, but one of our dogs is ill, so we're spending most of our time on the ground floor). What should I be prepared for if my last AC was 2?
i hope we get a 4answer like dlc soon for 6
Back on ps1 with first game it was intersting idea but over long run it never really had the potential to be anything special due to how limited combat and variety of oppenants was gonna be.
You look at games that worked in some sort of similar fashion at time compared to it like for example twisted metal. It was just more interesting conceptually.
If you want my honest opinion about armored core series i think they banked too much on the popularity of the gundam wing tv series without giving people a reason to care about the low budget version of gundams In their game series
In terms of gameplay, weirdly enough, AC6 is closer to AC2-3 than it is to AC5 and VD. Movement is much faster and a lot smoother though. The targeting system has also been improved a lot. Bosses are much more prevalent than before, and much more cinematic.
Human+ was removed and most of the Human+ stuff is core to the game. You can now change AC parts in the continue screen, and you can sell any part for the same amount you bought it for. Overheating was removed in favor of a stagger system called Overload, that creates openings in a similar way, main difference is that you can't self-inflict it.
Try again.
