Good to know. Thanks for the encouragement.
people that care about this kind of stuff went hollow long ago
Also you have to use sime kind of obscure object as a controller... like a flute or a skateboard or something. You also should hold your breath from the moment you enter the fog wall until the boss is dead. Real souls players don't breathe during boss fights thats like playing on easy mode.
This. Those of us who've been with the Souls games for a long time tend to push ourselves with additional challenges, because the basic setup of the games hasn't changed significantly since Demon's in 09, but that doesn't mean that the "vet way" is the *right* or *only* way.
If you're new, your play is unlikely to be perfect out of the gate, and that's normal.
...some folks forget their own learning experiences, apparently believing their present familiarity with the Souls setup was always present as a natural consequence of their superiority.
You beat Margit, and it was legit. Summoning help is a mechanic included with the game, indicating it is intended to be used. Don't sweat what a few elitist dingleberries desperately defending the single achievement they have to their names say about how you play; they have to wake up as themselves every day, and I can't think of many worse fates.
If you beat a boss, or eventually the game, whether you had cooperators or not, you beat the game, and it was legit.
Now go have fun, and stomp some mud holes into some demigods.
Step 2: Disregard people who confuse being a "real gamer" with "having a personality"
Step 3: ...
Step 4: Profit.
