I never had the problems everyone was yelling about when it came out so who knows.

The PC version freezes every 5 minutes now. Enjoy.

Can't say I've ever had any problems. Only a few crashes.

Since teh others all seem to have good pc's I can give you the actual input you wanted.
my pc sucked back when Elden Ring came out and I had big issues with frames right out of the gate, literally as teh Golden knight had so many details that he took down my fps.
Those issues were fixed yes, some others were not.
If you still have the same hardware from back then it might run better.
If you have newer hardware it will run no problem

Maybe people should first of all start knowing how to use a PC and keep it in good condition.
I have a PC that is at least 4 years old and I have no problems with Elden Ring.

On my RTX3060 / I5 10400 the game is running exactly the same at 720p/Low quality as well as 2k High quality ( 50 fps with many drops at random place )

On my RTX4090 / I7 14700KF the game is crashing every 10 - 30 mins no matter if i play on 720p or 4K.

Every other game run perfectly good but this one is still a shame , they'r supposed to sell new content soon but they still didnt fix the original game , the game is still lock at 60 FPS if you dont use MOD , technically the game is poor as hell they still don't know how to make PC game.

Making Assumptions
runs fine unless you have a windows PC and don't have the recent update for .00001 seconds, then it won't boot past the startup screen

That's not the issue, it's the developers that aren't doing their job. Even when they make their games for PC Japanese companies are still prioritizing consoles because that's all they care about.

With that said, i had zero issues with Elden Ring in over a 1000 hours of play, on a system that is inferior to most of what is being posted here. Literally constant 60 FPS with no itches, slow downs, or anything of the kind. If you are experiencing poor performance on an high end graphic card, when i get no issues with my old 5700xt, than something is wrong with the game.

Also, can we please just not use RTX. Just shut it off that crap serves no purpose and you are killing your frame rate for no reason.
