Elden Ring not responding to any controller input. Please help.

I was playing Elden Ring last night on Steam using my Xbox Elite Series 2 controller. Everything was working completely fine. I have about 70 hours on the game now and have used my controller throughout the game and have had no issues.

This morning, I booted Elden Ring up, and when I get to the main menu that says "Press Any Button", the game does not respond to any input on my controller. I did not change any settings between yesterday and today.

I tried different Steam games with the same controller, and they all respond to my controller input. It is just Elden Ring that will not respond. I've tried booting up the game and then disconnecting my keyboard and mouse, and left my controller plugged in, and still nothing. I've reinstalled the game, reinstalled steam, have restarted and shut down my PC, still nothing. I've tried going into Steam's controller settings and also Elden Ring's controller settings, reenabling and disabling the "enable steam input" option, and nothing changes...

If anyone has ever ran into this issue, or if anyone might know a fix, please let me know. Thanks.

Happened quite often to me at some point in the past but not anymore. Just disconnect and reconnect and preferably use cable

Thanks. I tried that a few times but didn't seem to be working. However, I just took the USB cord that connects to my controller, and plugged it into a different USB port on my computer, it and started working. I should have checked this earlier, but where the controller was still working for other games using the old port, never thought the port was causing the issue... Oh well, I can play the game now!
