IMO, most weapons are pretty good. It comes down to your stats and getting the timing right for the type of weapon you're using.

My personal favourites are Blasphemous Blade, Darkmoon Greatsword, Godslayer's Greatsword, Sword of Night and Flame and Rivers of Blood.

good damage, delayed, homing, good boostability, low fp cost, low requirments, high stance damage when not using the aow.

In terms of raw power per skill ratio, the Black Knife is the best weapon in the game.
- Debuffs target's max HP and instantly deals 10% of their HP in damage
- Does additional damage over time + a massive chunk of damage on hit
- The skill animation lifts you into the air which moves your hitbox out of the way for a lot of melee attacks

All you gotta worry about is FP management so you can spam the skill, the rest sorts itself out.

It depends.

For PvE Moonlight Greatsword and Blasphemous Blade are easy boss stompers and clears mobs decently. The most unsettling thing in this game is that Mohgwyn Sacred Spear used to be stronger than it is now. It still easily clears the game.

For farming Albinaurics Sacred Relic Sword.

For PvP dual wielding Cross-Naginata or Ripple Crescent Halberd with Soporific Grease.

I don't think you need to go with what's best though. Tons of weapons are very strong in PvE and variety is the spice of life. Plus the Blasphemous Blade is easily the ugliest looking thing in this game and the Moonlight Greatsword is also going to lose you fashion points.

One thing to look out for is a lot of people exaggerate nerfs that have happened. In 99% of cases the weapon is still amazing. I just finished a playthrough with a Sword of Night and Flame which a lot of people think isn't that good anymore and it was easy. Kind of crazy.

idk. Its probably a rogue/dex weapon, like it always is.
