Maybe one day we'll get an actual classification for Cross Region Play besides "Japan" and "Other".
Turning this off does nothing, I still get laggy chinese dudes in all my invasions

Anyone not in japan is considered "other" so we all get the same matchmaking pool. Instead of NA, EU, Asia

For Miyazaki there is only Japan and Sony.
Screw the rest.

Japan is notoriously xenophobic, so "Japan" and "other" makes sense for them.

This comes up fairly often, and there are people who argue strenuously that there are in fact other regions being used. However, my experience is the same as yours so either they're wrong or enough people use VPN's to make the distinction meaningless.

Those dudes are either delusional or Japan must think that NA is part of the same region as the EU and Asia cause I get a ton of laggy russisans and chinese accounts. Using a ping checker, everyone sits around 150 ping from the EU, Asians at 250
I'm sure their internet is great, just the distance makes playing with them in invasions a horrible experience lol. The EU players I can handle, but Asians take a solid 10-20 seconds before they take damage so trading with them is a bit tougher lol
