Frenzied Flame is the true ending of Elden Ring
It really seems to be the way the game was meant to end. It makes the most sense for the mc's journey, the history, and the timeline. All the other endings seem tacked on, or like fan service. Thoughts?

Been playing through the DS series lately, and the end goal of all of them is the end the current world. Most surviving characters even have end-game dialogue eluding to them being ready to die, or expecting you to kill them now that you're at your journey's end.
As it always has been, so goes Elden Ring. Destruction through fire, and rebirth of the world clean once more.

There is nothing to indicate any kind of a rebirth in the Frenzied Flame. It is an end to all life, everywhere. It is nihilistic submission to oblivion.

What is Melina doing and what is she standing on if eVeRyThInG and eVeRyOnE has melted?

Meanwhile a old man managed to contain the frenzy flame but not after killing his own daughter and ruining a forest. He also summoned powerful eldritch entities that roam the Abyssal woods devouring the minds of anyone stupid (or brave) enough to go there.

With that said the lore related to the frenzy flame has been expanded in the expansion. There actually is a fully "ascended" lord of the frenzy flame inside the broken body of Midra so after all we did in the Lands Between we are just another one of many.....

Heat death of the universe. Which also means new universe. Apart from that the game literally says that everyone becomes as one, so technically no one "dies" regardless. Hell, you could even go as far as saying that a literal singular God will be born and can do whatever it pleases. But saying there will be nothing is blond and blue-eyed at best.

There's no indication that Midra killed his own kid. If anything, everything points to Nanaya as the evil person.

Why is frenzied associated w/?
Because the Ending is pretty much burning down everything, and i mean just looking at the ending literally everything probably dies and im not sure anything could live afterwards.

From the way Melina warns you not to go near the frenzied flame, she almost sounds like shes saying becoming the lord of frenzy will kill everything and ruin life as a whole.

"If you intend to claim the Frenzied Flame, I ask that you cease. It is not to be meddled with. It is chaos, devouring life and thought unending. However ruined this world has become, however mired in torment and despair, life endures. Births continue. There is beauty in that, is there not? If you would become Lord, do not deny this notion. Please, leave the Frenzied Flame alone"
Damn the dialogue in this game is so well written.

You are right, Nanaya actually was the villain here, here is the proof.

Dude......this is the spinal column of someone who attempted (and failed) to dominate the frenzied flame. So if we count this poor sod, Vyke, Midra and us......you get the picture. Far from being the one man apocalypse we thought we were.

Midra at least managed to contain the flame helped by the Belurat inquisition and they succesfully quarantined the Abyssal woods, thats why you have to get past the elder inquisitor Jori and his congregation at the end of Darklight catacombs.

While this piece of lore is actually amazing i hope Robert and Miyazaki grace us with more.....books and any other media. We finally saw what happens when you unleash the flame and even some eldritch horrors related to it (not just rats and whitered merchants)

Without the frenzied flame there's no first flame, so dark souls never happens so its canon heh

Ranni's ending definitely isn't "Tacked on", though the Frenzied Flame is definitely the most comparable to it in terms of presentation. I think you can look at the way the world is and join an apocalyptic cult ala Dungeons and Dragons and the trope of what Chaos is. Or you can let someone who wants to lead the world give it some direction while destroying/dismantling what came before her without literally dismantling the idea of civilization.
Ranni ending is coomer fan service. Literally the worst ending.

It only woulda been the true ending if Melina was the final boss fight

Not only is it the best ending, but it's also a lot of fun feeding the handicapped lady eyeballs. Even if I don't go the FF route, I still make sure I feed her eyeballs every playthrough. Reminds me of Dumb and Dumber when they sell the blind kid the dead bird w the duct taped head.

I'm a horrible person.
