Proton 9.0, 8-25, 7.0-6, Experimental and "no forced version" doesn't launch far past the anticheat before crashing back to the Steam Deck UI. I see the Elden Ring cursor for a few seconds and then poof - gone!
Validating installation, launching from Desktop Mode, running in Offline Mode and turning off Wi-Fi all don't work so far
Video of the problems occurring in desktop mode (as I couldn't get screen recording to work in gaming mode): https://www.facebook.com/515100202/videos/pcb.1121997768937242/249173301600606
I can walk you through making it run better. I play this on the Deck nearly daily at 40-50fps.
So Idk why you'd have issues.
Cheers everyone.
Should run smoothly, other than the occasional decoration popin in open fields.
Right. It's definitely not for the casual, weekend-warrior gamer kids. Its mostly just adults with the ability to afford one.
