ELDEN RING

ELDEN RING

View Stats:
Elphael Prayer Room is a better spot for farming runes than Mohg's
1. The place is beautiful
2. music is relaxing
3. you actually need to fight the enemies and it's fun fighting them
4. Soldiers + Cleanrot Knights drop big number of runes
Conclusion: Best place to farm runes while waiting for coop after beating every major boss

You do realize the point of farming is efficiency over "fun" right?

Most people will usually watch a video or hear music on the background while essentially playing on auto, and Mogh's is perfect for it since you hardly have to move.

i dont farm, and if i did farm i just pick the most efficient place to do it. if that happens to be a bird or the mime guys then thats what it is.

i cant imagine farming in this game though, beating bosses gives far more runes than farming ever did and it progresses the game and nets better rewards.

when you realize runes are nonsense and skill matters more you transcend to the real elden ring.

Pretty much, if you do explore everything in this game, you can easily reach lv 150+ without needing to farm at all.

Unless youre looking to go way above with levels, theres hardly a reason to farm outside of upgrading stuff or buying consumables.

Or youre a masochist with too much time and decide to farm the idiotically low drop rates.

I do realize that. But it's so boring. It's a huge pile of the same enemy type. Can't stand it honestly. You can genocide them with the Elden Beast sword, sure. But there is zero joy in that. Fun over efficiency for me.
Disagree with the conclusion. Farming runes serves no point for dedicated cooperators because it will push you out of your summoning bracket when you spend those runes on upgrading your level.

Plus, Dollmaker is correct about efficiency. Even moreso after defeating Elden Beast and trading its remembrance for the Sacred Relic Sword and using Wave of Gold to get a ton of runes in 1 or 2 uses of it per run.

I want to use different weapons with the same character and maybe try some crazy combinations later. So I need lots of stats to make it efficient. Farming is great if you don't want to go to the next ng+ cause you wanna do some coop first.

Ah, I see. Those smithing stones can be expensive. But you don't need to go into NG+. Just kill Elden Beast and then choose not to go into "Journey 2" afterward.

I try to level up as much as possible to see how many people will still do coop and what crazy builds they are using. Currently level 344 and I am getting summoned pretty often. So I don't really care about summoning bracket, you know?

If "fighting enemy" equals to "4hit to 2hit an enemy" then I agree.
It is better for "testing weapons" as you not only have that one as you may go for the rest of Elphael too, but "for farming" no, it is not better much less best.

Not about stones. Got enough of those and can buy more if needed. It's stats. I want to switch around between strength, int, faith, dex, arcane and want to do good damage with each. So many levels are needed.

Sure, Mohg's is far more efficient. But it's boring af. And ugly too. How much albinauric genocide can you do before it gets old?
Madao Mar 1, 2024 @ 9:48am
that's kind of just your opinion, mate.

This applies to anything you know?

Like i said the whole point of farming is efficiency, so yeah, even if you like fighting certain enemies, after fighting them for the hundredth time in a row, it will get boring af, thats why people prefer to just go for the best farming methods over the most fun ones.

Don't kill albinaurics, lilbros just vibin!
I just use cheat engine, no need to waste my time doing meaningless farming.

It never gets old with the wave of gold.
There are dragon breath and other stuff for the genocide too and you can practice at the bow range there too with 3 birds (yes, the 3rd bird far there is also reachable, so you hit them 3 and go kill albinaurics just waiting for the other 2 birds to fall off the cliff, pay attention that the 3rd bird may just occasionally suicide so you have to hit it again with the bow, the 2nd bird too but less often).
