continue the castle, or go south. Or go North. There is no best order imo, just try explore everywhere and do so in whatever order you want. The game has several directions for you to go at this point.

margit isnt a main boss, godrick is inside the castle

If Stormveil Castle (the giant castle behind Margit) feels too tough, try heading to the Weeping Peninsula, located south of the eastern side of Limgrave. There's a smaller castle there, with an easy boss battle and a legendary weapon that's great for Strength builds.
