Steam Deck - Inappropriate Activity
Hello Everyone,

Last year I started playing on Steam Deck and played for many hours online without any issues. I took a long break from playing, and about two weeks ago I picked the game back up using the same instillation on my Steam Deck.

Now I'm getting the "Inappropriate Activity Detected" message and can't play online. I had this happen to me on PC, but it fixed itself after verifying my game files. I've tried verifying my game files and just waiting, but it's been two weeks with no luck.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Newest patch ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with linux/steam deck. You have to wait for a hotfix.

Can someone please keep this thread updated as soon as the fix becomes available? I will keep restarting the game to check if it is working and post here if there's any change. I would be very grateful if others could do the same <3

Manual fixes also very welcome - perhaps it is worth us all "forcing" the game to run in various proton versions. Which can be found in properties under compatibility.

:)

Same issue for proton experimental on linux.

Same for me, linux desktop and steam deck. Reinstall does not resolve it, the latest update just does not work properly with proton afaik.

I don't even have a Steam Deck and just got kicked offline with this error. :-/ No mods used ever.

Absolutely no problems running yesterday. Only since the patch 1.12 or whatever installed about 30 minutes ago.

Sorry to insist, but why using proton for this game ? Works for me on my deck, without any compatibility layer.

You already use Proton without knowing

Wait how do you do this? I've looked around and I thought it was only possible through proton.

Either way, I couldn't even get into the main screen to enter the game, it just kept returning to the title screen. Uninstalled the proton EAC runtime which fixed it, but I wanna play online.

Sorry I can't be any help to any of you. It turns out my issue was that I was running the game in an old version of GE. So any new issues you're on your own.

Same issue for me. I'm using PopOs! and it worked fine until the latest patch and now I can't play online. Offline play works fine though.

Unless you installed windows on it, you *are* using a compatibility layer. And sorry to insist why don't everyone ditch windows and just use proton instead. lol
