Steam Deck - Inappropriate Activity
Hello Everyone,

Last year I started playing on Steam Deck and played for many hours online without any issues. I took a long break from playing, and about two weeks ago I picked the game back up using the same instillation on my Steam Deck.

Now I'm getting the "Inappropriate Activity Detected" message and can't play online. I had this happen to me on PC, but it fixed itself after verifying my game files. I've tried verifying my game files and just waiting, but it's been two weeks with no luck.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I've been playing on my Steam deck and on my pc alternatingly with cloud save. I just ran into this today. "inappropriate activity detected" Could not play online.

That's bad news. I had to get a Steam Deck to combat motion sickness, and now this is happening. There's no winning.

IIRC, this message appears when EAC isn't able to start for whatever reason. If you're using mods, disabling EAC is required if you don't want to get banned, so seeing this message is normal in that situation. It doesn't mean you're banned, just that you cannot play online.

If you're not using mods or you haven't purposely disabled EAC, then you may need to verify your game files or reinstall the game. There's also a possibility that you might not be the problem, it could be an issue with EAC's or From's servers.
I have encountered this problem on Arch linux too, only offline works with proton experimental enabled

Im having the same issue. Repaired EAC, verify files, restart deck, re install game. Nothing works

Same. Linux issue with EAC after the patrch I guess.
Edit: From what I heard devs just need to press a button for those programs to be Linux compatible nowadays BUUUUT the last time they had to do it was something like 2 years ago so maybe they forgot about it this time.

Same. Same. Same.

The update broke my game.

I only have played this save file on my Steam Deck (I do not have a gaming desktop anymore). I've played in offline mode over the past week or so when my Internet here has gone down, but I don't even know how I would cheat using a Steam Deck and NOW I CAN'T PLAY ONLINE AT ALL!!! Getting "Inappropriate Activity Detected" message when I try to login....

WHAT GIVES?!?!?!

servers are down

In another thread they said it's because the servers are down for maintenance. Just had the same on arch as well and ran straight here
