Just wondering

Beating it gives 3,200 runes, Ornamental Straight Sword, and Golden Beast Crest Shield. There's no achievement.

EDIT: you can beat it by returning later using a warp.

That is not the Tutorial Boss however. The Tutorial boss is Soldier of Godrick in the Tutorial Cave.

Grafted Scion is commonly (mis)understood to be the "tutorial boss" despite the fact that his fight isn't designed to teach anything. A person who's so early in the game as to ask if the "tutorial boss gives an achievement" isn't typically going to ask about Soldier of Godrick (especially since Soldier is easy and Scion is an almost-guaranteed loss for new players).

Basic web searches for "elden ring tutorial boss" gives results for articles and wiki pages about Grafted Scion. Not factually correct for lore and all that, but whatever. I went with what I deemed to be more likely of the two.

It's obviously not intended to be beaten given you only get one chance, so it's logical there would be no achievement.

I killed him, but i practiced first on another character against the one in Stormwind:

You lose the runes when you die after falling off the cliff btw.

Not worth it to be honest.

You do not lose the runes if you go the intended way after defeating the scion, aka faling down the cliff that brakes of from under you.
