Open command prompt as Administrator and run
Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
After this is successful done
Sfc /scannow
Also a reinstall of your gpu driver by deinstall the actual installed driver with DDU should be done if dism and sfc found no errors.
i already tried both things.
might try doing a clean install with DDU again
EDIT: Could also be a VC runtime issue as well because I think nvwgf2umx.dll relies on these.
in both logs it is related to the gpu driver connection with the windows system, if you checkend windows with dism and sfc and reinstalled the GPU by remove it with DDU and the same problem appears there are just left background apps that interfer or a windows internal fault beyond onsystem repair or a hardware problem.
so yes if DDU/reinstall of the GPU driver does not help (or test with a older driver) most likely windows is faulty
i did those cmd commands and reinstalled with DDU again and for some godly unknown reason it seems to be working, the game hasnt crashed yet, ill play again tomorrow and see if its actually fixed 🙏
So yesterday when i ran those commands on cmd i got a message saying it found corrupt files and repaired them, after that the game seemed to be working. today i played again and after like 40 minutes or so the game crashed again with that same error, and running the command said again that there are corrupted files and its going to repair them. i dont know what to do at this point honestly
sounds like the same problem bradman1978 had a faulty SSD.
i have an ssd with windows running, and a 2tb hard drive where i download games and stuff (including elden ring), with this error the faulty one would be the ssd with windows or the hard disk?
also about that sfc /scannow command i noticed it says it found corrupt files even if i run it twice in a row, i dont need to open the game and get the crash
I would replace the SSD soon.
to check if it was actually an ssd issue i tried downloading windows on my hard disk too, now the commands dont find any errors, but the game still crashes. could my ssd still conflit even if im running the os on my hard disk and the game is on my hard disk too?
If, your SSD is faulty it can cause also electrical issues in the system, depends on what defect it has.
i just tried removing my ssd and using my brother's one, still crashes.
im starting to lose hope, as i think this could mean either my motherboard or gpu are faulty and i definitely cannot afford to get another one of those, i guess i could test if its the gpu by using my gpu on my brother's computer but even then i got no idea

I've tried the fixes described above (short of a full clean install or replacing the SSD) and still having the same problem. I'm playing on a Lenovo Legion 5i pro laptop (4070 gtx) if that makes a difference.
Both crash logs point to a overlay injection by something or faulty directx.
Background apps, Lenovo specific Tools, rtss something like this in a other case it was related to a amd specific tool that injected a overlay with the exact same logs.
You could check if the problem get solved the same way.
This article helped to solve the issue for the other user in the article is a correlation to NVIDIA mentioned too.
