need help learning how to make elden ring the convergence mod work.

i downloaded the mods but am not sure how to get them to work, i know to play offline and i wouldnt cheat anyway but i just want to play with some of the new weapons and spells and changes to enemy placements and bosses. so if youve used the mod could you possibly help and old boomer tarnished figure it out? thanks

1. Go to Nexus Mods and download The Convergence.

2. IIRC the mod downloader will then ask where on your PC you would like to download it. Simply create a new folder on your desktop and direct it to download there. You can call the folder "ER Convergence," or something.

3. To launch the mod, open the new folder and find the "launchmod" file (I forget the exact name). That's pretty much it.

The neat thing about the mod is that it automatically launches in offline mode when you boot it up, so you don't have to worry about a ban. But if you're paranoid, you can launch the original version of the game first and change the launch setting to offline.

I've seen this repeatedly, but it won't let me just send it to a file on my desktop. This is where I keep getting confused. And anywhere I send it to that I can find, it's like the file just isn't there.
