Elden Ring or Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Edition for new player

Hi,

if i buy the "Shadow of the Erdtree Edition", can i explore the base game without the changes through the DLC? Or should i first buy and play the base game, then buy the DLC?

Is the base world different if you have the DLC (new weapons, ...)? Maybe it is not bad, if the base world stays untouched from NPCs and story, but having new features and enter the new world traveling there.

Anybody who can give me a hint or suggestions :)?

It's likely going to be like all From DLCs. The DLC is going to be a completely different 'phase' so you will be able to go between it and the base game without issue. That is my guess.

Yep - if this is like their DLC for earlier games, then the base game will not be affected by the DLC being installed. And you need to play a big portion of the base game to even be able to enter the DLC, so...
