PLEASE HELP ME (efficiency trouble)
Hello , i m playing Elden Ring on laptop and i got very strange trouble with my efficiency.
(Specs: Intel I5 12500H , RTX 4060 (8GB 140W) , RAM 32 GB)
So when i m playing i have around 40-60 fps at every quality settings. I turned on every possible setting to improve efficiency and nothing worked. In Cyberpunk 2077, WItcher 3 and RDR 2 everything works normal.
What should I do???

It's a PC Port from a "AAA" company. They are becoming worse and worse. It's not your rig. Just look at what happened with DS3.

This is gonna sound stupid but have you disabled raytracing? It's the biggest performance hog in ER and it has almost no visible effect on the graphics. (Shadow Quality is #2)

Could also be worth checking your CPU temperature while running the game, a lot of laptops have subpar cooling and can't actually run their cores at full power (so you get less performance than you're supposed to). I've been a big fan of the Lenovo Legion series because of that chonky double fan / mesh bottom cooling solution, and I've propped up my laptop on a stand to make sure there's proper airflow beneath it.

A last thing you could try is installing the Seamless Co-op mod (even if you're planning on playing solo), when playing the game through the mod it removes a bunch of background processing stuff which'll free up some performance. Drawback is of course that you won't get any co-op with randos and get no messages/bloodstains to tell you about secrets/danger.

Lazy and idiotic response, 99% of issues are with user hardware. Also easily proven wrong with Armored Core 6 which was just about a flawless release performance wise.

OP the game is capped at 60fps and your processor has a feature that is not the best - windows 10 doesn't handle intel e-cores that well so you can either try upgrading to windows 11 or disabling e-cores in the bios and see if that helps. RAM speed is also important, you want at least 3000mhz.

There are a couple spots where multiple particle effects at once will slowdown on any hardware (pc and console) but there are only a couple

I did everything before and nothing has changed. RAM have 4800MHZ.

Yes , I disabled raytracing. CPU and GPU temps are fine , this is new laoptop i have him 5 days. I will try to install this mod.

What resolution is the screen? Playing at 4k on a mid range you're probably getting expected performance
I m playing at 1080p (1920x1080).

Your laptop plugged in and set to best performance power plan?
Yes , as i mentioned before i did everything to get the best possible performece but its not working...(Cyberpunk, Witcher 3 , Rdr , cs2 runs normal

I would clean out the internals. Fully dust everything out for the best possible cooling. Consider re-pasting the heat sinks.

Oh, well, the default paste might be garbage... but yeah scratch that idea.

I think your issue is with driver support. A lot of laptops are a dead-end for gaming due to lack of updates to their semi-custom components. I consider laptops a scam for this reason. After DS3 came out, I had a laptop at the time over-spec for the game, but it just couldn't run. No driver support was ever going to come, either.

While this game might be supported on paper, the care and optimization given to it is far below that of discrete GPUs.
