Nioh Complete Edition
Nioh 2 Complete Edition
Wo Long Fallen Dynasty
Sekiro Shadows Die Twice
To name a few.
There is also two Lord of the Fallen games but I would not reccomend it.
Hellpoint has a really cool world design and vibe but it's got incredibly clunky gameplay, if you just want dark souls IN SPACE it might be worth a try though. Though Remnant 2's space world has kinda obsoleted it (R2 is also a good game but it's got issues with updates that take forever to install and waste tons of disk space with temporary files, it's bad enough that I uninstalled it outta frustration).
I haven't played many difficult games. Mibibli's quest was tough though.
If you want difficult games then try old NES games.
Which is kinda hilarious considering Malenia is supposed to be the hardest Boss in the series. The easiest game has the hardest boss. x,D
Btw, every single Dark Souls game as Elden Ring allow coop allowing "watch summoned playe(s) beat the boss" difficulty so it can not get easier than that.
Sekiro is not hard with deflect being so lenient and working on 90% of the attacks and on top of that have skills and prosthetics that allow the game to become far easier (as if "never losing everything and never losing unspent Attack power or Vitality makes it super lenient, die as many times you want, all you lose is Sen if you did not purchase bags or did not spent it already.
From "always" leave tools to make the game as easy as the player want
Playing in ironman mode (only 1 save slot that autosaves per turn) is the traditional way to enjoy them and XCOM 2 comes with one of the better steam workshop sections that I have seen.
If you are into racing games I might advise Dirt Rally 2.0. It is kind of like the Dark Souls of racing games. Their are not many games out there that can boast a technical rally driving experience in the way this game can. It really is a discipline because one wrong knock can ruin everything.
That guy that mentioned guitar hero and rock band. I share in his loss too. Extremely satisfying games to watch yourself good at. But sadly the PC alternatives come with a lot of compromises especially where production value is concerned.
Another game I would throw into the suggestion box would be Noita. It's a 2D platformer with more randomized roguelite elements. There are two equally impressive selling points this game has that you can't find just anywhere. Every pixel has its own simulated physics and interactions which can cause a ton of chaos. And it has this deeply experimental aspect where you can arrange spell effects into your wands to make all sorts of helpful, broken and chaotic things happen when you use them. But also it will kill you, a lot.
Otherwise Sekiro, Bloodborne, The Witcher 2, and MechWarrior 2 on the survival mode (its been awhile though so its probably easier than I remember).
Its good, with a bit of jank. I'm not really sure how to describe it. The controls are weird I guess, and sometimes getting swarmed pretty much means defeat unless your really good at the game. I'm just okay at it. I do know that you unlock some special weapon and armor recipes on the hardest difficulty though.
Sorry that I can't give a better description, I just remember dying easily, and only doing crazy amount of damage if I had the right build.
Playing the original SAGA or Final Fantasy Legend on my switch. Nostalgia.
