Bleed Talk
I want to do a playthrough with a 'balanced' weapon/build and planning on dual wielding grave scythes. But people seem to say bleed is 'OP', is it different if the weapon only has natural bleed? would you say the dual g scythes are balanced if not over-leveled (for justification, im not buildin my build around bleed i just want to use grave scythes to have a more balanced/fun playthrough)

Bleed is OP !

Take Claymore instead to increase your maximum given honor while beating the game without summons.

Don't worry about bleed, it's not op, it's just strong, pve wise at least. Enemies get increased resistance every time you proc it, you need to be aggressive for it to be fully effective and there are plenty of enemies that are immune to it. Assuming you invest in it, it will take some time before you start proccing bleed consistently. The STR requirement for the scythes will delay that even further. That is if you go for Blood infusions, I do not know how Occult goes.

There is nothing better then the feeling of beating one of this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bosses only with your trusted sword and your iron will !!

Beating malenia with rivers of blood and mimic does not feel like a viktory - its a defeat !

Choosing a weapon that has innate bleed does not instantly make you a bleed build. There are things a full arcane or Bloodflame setup does that are much more intense than what a weapon that happens to have bleed can do.

Bosses get more resistant to bleed procs as they get hit with them and it gets to some very high resistance. Some bosses are completely immune to bleed. Many bosses are so fast that you're not gonna be able to get more than 1 attack in on the occasional opening which means you'll rarely be getting any bleed procs.

Most of the, "Bleed op!" comes from PvP (which doesn't matter because it sucks) where bleed resistance doesn't get higher the more you bleed and bleed (all status effects) still hit you and build up even if you dodge perfectly and do not take damage. Then you'll stagger from the bleed which means follow ups can happen to you which makes you bleed again... PvP sucks.

Scythes have a slow attack animation, the dual scythes are even slower for bleed build.
You'll still have your balanced playthru as bleed procs will not come often enough to make a huge difference. You will still get them, but it's more of a bonus rather than the only way the enemy takes damage.

Dual scythes is rather fun to play, I enjoyed it quite a bit and didn't feel as tho bleed procs were mandatory to kill anything.

I really think you need to have this discussion with your parents, little girl, not an internet forum.

Bleed is very much op early and mid game, just because other options don't deal that much % damage to bosses. However, as you move towards softcaps, other options become more and more powerful, and occasionaly there are hard bosses who are immune to status effects (gargoyles, spirit godskins etc), so I'd say it is just another fun way to beat the game and not THAT op. Some strategies are more cheesy for some bosses, sure, but overall this game has many strong options. If you enjoy red liquid spraying out of your enemies, go for it.
