Last Hit On Boss Coop

As a Cooperator should I be finishing off bosses or let the host have the last hit? I just did a Rennala run which was one of the quickest yet but I let the Host have last hit and he somehow when from full health to dead at the end of Rennala phase 2...

as long as the boss gets rekt it doesn't matter who does the final hit. that little "better let the host kill the boss" attitude could risk the host dying instead, thus wasting everybody's time. if a host summons you, it's because they're struggling and need the boss to die by any means necessary (aside from hacking obv).

Because I have yet to enable voice chat mostly because ive only just found out theres the option. Last time I looked I didnt see it...

The way I see it is that we're summoned to kill the boss so kill the boss.

Makes sense. For some reason I got it in my head that it robs the host of the accomplishment. Some coop boss battles are so epic still and not just me doing all the damage that it just felt polite to let them deliver the final blow. From now on ill turn on voice chat if i can work out how, and ask them :P

haha I get it..... Anyway Google search says theres voice chat but I cant see it. Emotes, prattling pate and crouching it is!
