Actually when i did those things at my nvidia panel, the game has even more stuttering. I needed to go back to default options.

If you don't care about playing online you could disable easily anti cheat. You could also disable core 0 in task manager under Details under Set Affinity easy anti cheat must be disabled for this.

is it really the anti cheat thats stuttering the game?

I've turned it off for testing and it fixed my stuttering Leyndell Capital. Their are other fixes but disabling easy anti cheat is the most popular one.

unless your framerate is a multiple of your monitor refresh rate, like 120fps with 60hz, fast vsync is not advised. Its suited for competitive games with an excess of frames, like counter strike with multiple hundreds of fps. fast vsync is the same as vsync off, but it discards the excess frames instead of loading them all, which should help reduce tears and lower input lag. Stick to vsync on and gsync enabled, especially for elden ring which already forces vsync on.

Well freesync (amd) and gsync (Nvidia) aren't compatible

Nvidia provides a guide on enabling gsync on freesync monitors on their own website. https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4768/related/1 As well, even their director of product management, Vijay Sharma, has stated "Sometimes it might be okay, might be acceptable, satisfactory. Other times it might not. But we leave that choice to the end user." They are compatible, it's just that if your monitor isnt nvidia approved your results may vary.

Disabling anticheat alleviates loading stutters, not frame stutters. With it disabled, its not constantly scanning your hard drive as you play.
