I was watching a video of a guy clearing Elden Ring with a whip until I came across him summarizing Vyke's story and his relationship with Frenzy Flame
Unfortunately no, I didn't come across this story while playing, does anyone know the story of this NPC ?

Vyke came REALLY close to becoming Elden Lord, but gave it all up to end a maidens suffering via the three fingers. As a result, he was imprisoned inside an evergaol.

are you saying you can't find an NPC named Vyke?
he can be found in 2 occasions;
- as an invader near Frenzied Village, Northern Liurnia.
- as an actual NPC in Mountaintop of the Giant's Evergaol, near First Church of Marika.

the way I see it, seems like he didn't have the heart to sacrifice his maiden to the forge, so he take the frenzied flame himself, but the flame corrupted him, so he was imprisoned in the Evergaol.
there is a possibility that he was the previous owner of Torrent and Lone Wolf Ashes, and also work with Ranni as well.

I wonder what happened to Vyke's maiden after he was imprisoned. As far as I remember, it's never mentioned.

She's the corpse you find in the church where Vyke's red phantom invades you in Liurnia. The corpse you get the Maiden armor set off of. It's not mentioned specifically how she died but personally I think it was a suicide from the shame of Vyke refusing to burn her and falling to the Frenzied Flame.
