But shields do have a use in the fight, when she does her waterfowl dance you can block the first volley and dodge the second and third because they are easier to dodge than the first. Id recommend a medium shield with greatshield talisman if you dont have a lot of carry weight or a greatshield if you do.
Also idk what you mean by dodging is punished, that just doesn’t make sense because thats the best thing against her.
Right, I always get those two confused. Forgive me, haven't played for awhile as I'm sitting at the roundtable waiting for the DLC. I'll probably have to learn how to play all over again by the time it's released. I don't even remember names of bosses in game so I have to use ones I've worked with instead whenever the topic arises.
Nah, she has ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of this trade mark DS3 "tracking attacks", so your dodges must be precise or her dumb damage will one shot you. Personally i just stun-locked her entire phase1 with strong attack from greatsword, seem to work best. It just she has too much hp, too much damage and too much anime cringe moves when she changes her trajectory mid jump via share force of her farts. Pass that It's actually fairly easy fight, depending on your build, its just not fun at all. Give me 10 variations of Father of Abyss, Fuma Knight or Artorias, every day of the year. You know, bosses which fun to fight an beat, because they have easily readable movesets, and every time you die you be like "Oh damn that was my mistake i misread his moves". As opposite to this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, started from DS2 lost sinner continues in DS3 and reached it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ peak in Elden Ring - when most bosses is just crack addicted spider monkeys with endless stamina and attacks.
btw the summon died ahhaha
