Charged Attack Into Dodge

Having a problem where when Im attacking an enemy and do a charged attack into dodge I do a light attack after the charged attack instead. When im not attacking an enemy it does it fine. Not sure whats going on. Im definitely not chaining a light attack after the charged...

No worries, Ive just read a couple of reddit posts with people having the same problem and its fixable by remapping heavy attack to a separate button. On M&K to do a charged attack you have to hold shift and left click. where as left click alone is light attack.

What weapon are you using? Some weapons, such as curved swords, let you cancel a charged heavy by pressing the dodge button, which usually makes you backstep while attacking at the same time. Does that sound like what's happening?

Meteoric Ore Blade. Thanks but no its just charged into light attack. Ive sorted it now kinda as I using the MOB 2 handed and not blocking so Right Click on the mouse was free to assign charged attack.

Meteoric Ore Blade. Thanks but no its just charged into light attack. Ive sorted it now kinda as I using the MOB 2 handed and not blocking so Right Click on the mouse was free to assign charged attack.

I strongly recommend picking the controller up and learning it. A lot of games will continue to support controllers in the future, and some games today even prioritize it. Fromsoftware usually always designs their games to be played with one. Although I know some people just can't and that's okay too.

Yes my friends tells me this every time XD but I just cant get using to controller on these games. This is my 5th playthrough so no idea why I havent noticed it before (but then again im just used to spamming Ashes of War and not relying on normal attacks like I am this playthough), I even modded Dark Souls 3 to disable the camera follow when you strafe left and right because that was so annoying with Mouse and Keyboard. But that sorted it and I managed to complete most of DS3.
