Golden seed missing at Mt Gelmir

I went to a lot of trouble to get to the phantom tree on Mt Gelmir, so I could get the golden seed, including killing the fallingstar beast, but there was no seed there when I arrived. I reloaded the game, and traveled back to the Ninth Mt Gelmir Campsite site of grace, but it just won't show up.

I know there's more than enough seeds to maximise the flask uses, but I'm a bit miffed that I went to all this trouble and got no seed.

I think it drops from the tree spirit. If you jump down from the arena with the falling star beast, keep going left to find it spawning in front of a giant tree.

After the fight with falling star beast and following the path you should find both gold little tree and invisible scarab running in there, and by your left should be volcano manor?

There are two on Mt. Gelmir, the one SSE of the Minor Erdtree in the area, on a sprig, and the other on a sprig in the NW-most part of the area, also on a sprig.

Eww. Fail on my part. Almost all of them drop golden seeds, the tree spirit i described doesnt though, he instead drops crystal tears. just checked it on fextra.

Yes, I got the one S of the minor erdtree, but the one indicated by the map as being NW and uphill of Volcano Manor just isn't there. The phantom tree is there, but there's no seed. This was the first and only time I'd been there, so I definitely didn't just collect it and forget I did so.

In any case, I've managed to get 2 more since then. I have 13/14 flask uses now, and only need 4 more seeds to get the 14th.

I've also used that map myself many times, it's very useful.

Huh, I guess not all problems lol. Try verifying game files...?
