Anyway to recover my save file?

I had played this game for 170 hours on my old PC and then I installed this game on my new PC. I cannot continue the game on the new PC and then I tried it on my old PC and finally find out that I cannot continue the game on the old one too. I think I have lost the save data and is there anything I can do to recover it?

Just install steam and it will automatically load your save file.

I play Elden ring on a PC, on a Laptop and on a Steam Deck all on my account ... no problems with the save.

Save files are all stored locally on your computer.
Location is C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\EldenRing
Just look there on your old computer. Game also has the option for cloud saving but you can either use this or not. IIRC it's turned on by default.

if you started the game at the new computer and afterwards from the old computer your savefile is gone.

if you started the game at the new computer and afterwards from the old computer your savefile is gone.

I did this, I downloaded Elden Ring on my laptop bc I was not at home to play it so used my gaming laptop. Opened the game saw "New game" Closed the game went home to reinstall Eldin Ring back on my original gaming pc and now it says "New game" I am screwed 110hrs for nothing. What a terrible saving system
