You can damage and stun them by casting a healing spell. Easiest way to kill them, provided you can get the heal off without getting staggered.

Some things are. The royal revenants, and the jumping puzzles in Elden Ring are the worst part by far.

I guess I could say that they don't really serve a purpose other than to piss the players off. That's what I mean by bad design.

The royal revenants don't really give you time to breathe, they immediately attack you whenever you use a flask, because of cheap input reading. You also can't outrun them, which is dumb for an enemy that already doesn't allow you to dodge.

As for jumping puzzles, I just mean whenever you have to jump, and failure leads to death, and the loss of a rune arc. I wouldn't care if you didn't lose the rune arc, but anytime I have to jump, I just avoid that area completely, until I don't have a rune arc.

But yeah. Whoever designed royal revenants, I don't like them one bit.

they are easier to deal with end game, assuming of course you are only dealing with one by its lonesome like at the haligtree where you can use ashes, usually though i try to kill them just as they are climbing out of their little portal, otherwise yes they are worse than the things with the sword and shields and 6 arms
