Starlight Shards
Been watching a lot of pvp on youtube. Most of the popular pvp'ers use these in invasions and Colosseum. Where do they get their unlimited supply from? Do they get them from other people? Is there a discord for free Starlight shards or anyone here giving one stacks of Starlight Shards?

Also don't be silly, those consumables are not a big deal at all and therefore me cheating them in does not matter or make a difference!

This is the part i dont understand. Why would you give something as valuable as your honor up for something that you ultimately deem as making no difference.
Thats like trading your house for a lollipop.

cheaters know very well that the consumables make a difference they're just desperately trying to save face and make excuses

You cheat consumables in?
I am referencing a guy in this very thread who said that if pvp streamers do this he must do this too and it's not a big deal.
But to answer your question:
I had a character with which I did, but after I ultimately decided against it because it's cheap. That's why I can call out the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Why do you think anyone would have stopped or come to an agreement on this? One side has taken a high-ground position on cheating while the other is convinced there are tiers to bad behavior worth arguing about. For me, fight clubs are the only halfway serious way to PvP, and within those more organized sessions, I can't complain about ways my opponents are choosing to save time nor would I automatically be suspicious and accusatory towards them.

I would however rightfully complain if they were speedhacking or abusing a vulnerability in the anti-cheat methods, sure; my point here is not every consumable spam = they cheated the items in. Plausible deniability exists, and that other side I mentioned would like to assume it doesn't for the convenience of sounding as though they're on the "side of good" while anyone in disagreement is evidently part of what someone called "the cheater community"

So in short, this is just your average 200+ comment thread with clout chasers and point wasters.

Gotcha. I was missing that bit of context about streamers doing it - that's like another layer of personal negativity towards streamers who are even remotely popular; envy could reinforce the bad behavior. It's best imo to organize your sessions somewhat to have some filter on these sorts of players. These are extremely unpredictable people.

You mean, you break rules everyone agreed to to play the game, putting non cheaters at a disadvantage, and rationalize the practice because it suits you. Then, while discussing it, you drop multiple points and misrepresent it as solely an out of touch moral issue, rather than a fundamental violation of how the game is supposed to be played.

I said I won't engage in this discussion because it's pointless, but...

Your private/organized sessions aka fight clubs are not subject of this topic. I don't know why you brought it in here. You can play with no healing, or with 10 starlight shards, or with a chainsaw, any rules you desire and it doesn't matter to me and anybody that IS NOT within such event couldn't care less. And someone pointed it out and you took it as an offense like all ppl within fight clubs are cheaters...

OP asked how streamers get infinite supply of starlight shards for their invasions they are streaming. They got answer how, and they even got encouraged to do it. That's cheating, that's what I pointed out and it affects all the random people being in coop at any given moment. It's far from being organized.

And I don't think that the item is super OP by any means and will turn out the tables suddenly, because encounter can end fairly quickly and you still might have flasks not spent... but imagine that you are RL 125 and you didn't spend a single point into mind. Within use of starlight shard and fully utilizing it's effect of regenerating 120 FP your mind stat kinda goes from lvl 10 up to 35 for a minute. Take someone who lvled up their mind stat to 35 on cost of their vigor and they get the vigor check. If you throw mind stat out of the chart it turns out RL 125 is invading host RL 100.

Really well said. Both of you. Well done. I applaud the effort.

However, you guys make one big mistake, in which I'm guilty as well.

You're trying to use logic and reason to convince them. That won't work. I've tried. They just won't reply to the parts where you are right and cherry pick the thing which they can twist and flip on its head to write a bunch of nonsense about it as a deflection. Also don't forget the usual tactic of calling people trolls and asking about their PvP experience to discredit what they say without having to reply to them.

Actually no. We are just stating facts and people with delusions are making excuses for cheating.

It's hardly an argument.

I'm not really trying to persuade them, so much as opposing their wrong position and bad debate practice. I know they can't be convinced with logic, but I am illustrating that the facts and sound logic are not with their arguments, regardless of whatever stupid things they believe and will continue believing.

I think anybody with a functioning brain knows that cheating is bad, but untill theres a legit way to get things like golem arrows or string, we have to resort to using CE for our own enjoyment. Yes, cheating sucks, you are correct. But i'm not wasting 30 hours of my life farming to enjoy myself for a little while in invasions.
Again, we reeeeally need a rune arc/covenant shop in the DLC.

Edit: Someone also mentioned earlier that using cheated items on honest pvers is scummy, and i agree with that.

Oh no, see, somebody implied that was the case. Don't gaslight me or confuse it for taking offense; I leave it to others to understand what's being said between both parties here. You take your side, and I'll just play somewhere in the middle.

You don't need to.
You do it because you like it and it is convenient for you.

Don't be surprised when hosts use CE to instakill you with deathblight
because they can't be bothered and waste their precious time with your invasion
when they just want to chill with their friends.

It is a slippery slope.
Once someone cheats everyone has excuse to do it and it snowballs from there.

Are you unwilling or unable to differentiate between the two? One that doesn't want to cycle through NG a hundred times, vs one that doesn't even want to play the game and goes so far as to harass everyone they come into contact with using scripts? I mean, seriously.
