Blaidd Questline Help

I got Elden Ring a little over a week ago now and its my first FromSoft game. I've steadily progressed and got to a point where I met Ranni at the north part of the map, and learned about Blaidd there.

I did some research and correct me if I'm wrong but Blaidd could be found early on in the game? and he had his own questline? If so have I messed up being able to do that questline because he is now part of Ranni's questline. Will I have to start NG+ to get his questline again?

He doesn't really have his own questline. There are opportunities to talk to him that you can miss, but it doesnt affect anything.

Meeting him early would have gotten you the snap gesture from kayle, and directions to darriwil's evergaol, where you can summon blaidd to help you for an easy bloodhound's fang. Other than that you didn't miss much.

You can find him earlier in a set of ruins in the Mistwood. You can't initially talk to him, you'll have to go back to the Church of Elleh and talk to Kale first. Blaidd will then ask for your help with something. The thing he's looking for is in one of the Limgrave evergaols.

You didn't miss much, but something to do on your next run. I missed more than a few early NPC encounters on my first run, so don't feel too bad.

You missed the Snap Gesture, from finding him, and a Somber Smithing Stone (2), from talking to him after defeating the Bloodhound knight, and one opportunity, which you gain by talking to the carian Blacksmith and mentioning Blaidd, to buy a talisman which reduces FP cost from skills, but there are other opportunities to buy that talisman.

Edit: you can buy the talisman after talking to Ranni so you don't lose much from not meeting Blaidd early. Unless you really wanted need that somber smithing stone or that talisman earlier.
