How does multiplayer work?
When i see the status blue and red rings does it show general pvp activity or pvp activity appropriate to my level? In other words if i see the red/blue rings does that mean i could invade or be summoned in such places?

So how do you even know if your level is right for the region?

Region, like international? Or like location in-game?

I think it is. When I played on low levels I saw the most activities in early game areas, and very rarely in late game areas. The red and blue circles moved then to mid game or late game areas as I leveled up. This was noticeable on all chars I have created.

There are many guides online that give advice per-area, including details like what weapon level and consumables might be useful. Those are okay to use. If wanting fairly "standard" PvP, you'll want to be at least level 120. But, you can use this character to work up to meta levels where people usually stop leveling up entirely, while PvPing.

I would try to invade at RL 60 with a decent equipment setup, for at least a little while. Select the option to invade anywhere, since RL 60s could really be anywhere. Increase your levels as you go. Stop at 150 if you wish to match with others efficiently.

Invading a precise area and level range is pretty difficult in this game, because you're competing with others who selected "anywhere".

Those status rings I believe indicate the "multiplayer-enabled" player count in each area. The colored ring's diameter may be proportionate to the others, or it scales with the actual volume.

From what I heard, if it's open no password multiplayer, there is a level cap and a weapon cap. So you probably won't get anyone that has >10 levels or >a few +weapon if you are looking for random play.

Password play is another story, and nothing matters there. I was level 75 with a +9 weapon and paired up with my cousin's brand new character.
