Should also note that last time I did arena a month or two ago, I was only matching with about 10 different people, so the population is definitely on the low side.
The balance of the game isnt good, due to the inflated dmg.
The 4 lobby limit killed Fight Clubs.
Solo Invasion removal made invasions worse in general for everyone.
And from what i heard, the "Ranks" from the arena are stupidly forgiving and easy to obtain, so it doesnt feel earned.
Theres also Covenant Removal.
And the worst necessary evil, the Seamless Co-Op mod seriously hurt activity in the base game.
thats how it should have been, yet they made so many restrections for invasions and coop from how many bosses u killed and how many weapons u have upgraded....who does that lol
if i killed the area's boss u can no longer summon the boys....cuz that makes sense tf
Sadly, the scaling of passworld summons does a poor job at balancing level difference.
sounds like invasions aren't ACTUALLY that popular if so many people are modding it out.
If that's the case, Miyazaki and co. have been wrong about the whole invasion mechanic for a long time.
I mean, that's been my experience in normal world/dungeon PvP as well. 9 times out of 10 it's some jerkwad who sequence broke the game to get OP late game gear and meta builds to just roll over people geared for PvE with level and progress appropriate gear/upgrades.
Seems to me most career PvPers are A) a minority of the playerbase and B) are petty bullies who don't want a fair fight, they just want easy victims.
The sweatlord invaders are just weirdos who base their entire personalities/ego around it. You know the type, the people who try to live through their video game personas.
The people that are actually crying are those that LITERALLY compared invaders to psychopaths or even rapists.
They come to the souls community and cry about a feature thats been a staple in the series since all the way back in Demon's Souls and want it removed or changed to please them cause they want the cake and eat it.
