Do not listen to these people they probably never invade, actual popular level is early, from 1 up to 50 which is limgrave and raya lucaria.
When you get to 150 invading becomes waiting 5 to 10 minutes even when swapping fingers. As for coop, yeah the main bosses do have people that summon you but i find that extremely boring.

And since there's no solo pvp so most new player won't even bother with invasion since it's always gank fight and now you have to agreed to be invaded since they remove ds3 feature where if you use ember then anyone can invade u now u fave to use that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ item

stop judging activity on steam numbers a big part is probably playing seamless coop

You can upgrade normal weapons up to plus 3 and somber plus 1, it.s the same bracket. Level doesnt matter as much as weapon upgrades. I currently run lvl 15 invasions with plus 3 antspur and plus 1 frozen rapier, get tons of invasions in limgrave.
