killing dragons

Hey yall so I rlly want the game but ive seen a lot of dragons being killed. As a dragon lover I wouldnt be able to kill them, is it possible to play without hurting them?

You can avoid all dragon fights as you please.

You can beat the game and access all areas without needing to kill a dragon. To enter Reya Lucaria you will have to start a fight with a dragon but you do not need to damage it and you can just run past it to get the key and leave.

A bit like this. Now while we are on it you can apply the same "not being there" advanced tactic with all the other world bosses.

You will encounter several dragons in your way but you can run past them on your horse

You can beat the whole game without slaying a single dragon.

Killing dragons is completely optional, though getting dragon powers and the respective character changes are tied to killing them.

Though flightless Wyrms can reward the basic dragon powers as well, but not the unique ones.

I heard if you beat the game at level 1 without fighting any dragon you get a bad dragon weapon.

I'm not as orthodox as OP, but I too try to stay away from these guys:
- small ones on the Moon Altar. Feels like they are cubs hiding there from the cruel world.
- Lanseaxx
- Lord Placi, if I don't have to because of the nedle. I have so much respect for the old geezer
- and of course Greyoll and her babies. Never ever, even during the 1st playthrough have even thought of hurting her. I absolutely despise lowlifes who use her as a farming tool. I dont accept even "needed it for achievement" lame excuse.

All dragons in this game are optional and you can either walk past them or ignore them entirely.

Ancient Dragons are a protected species. I'm pretty sure they're sapient, too. Wyverns belong in the woodchipper, though.

Dragons dont love you in this game, in case you feel forced to self-defense against them. But as it was said, you don't need to fight a single one in Elden Ring, if you prefer to run from them

yeah you can beat the game without killing dragons but you cannot 100% complete the game.

I am just like you, hate killing dragons in Elden Ring. The infamous Placidusax especially. You need to go way out of your way just to reach it and disturb his peace and quiet. It bothers no-one. However, I killed each and every one of them - just on my first playthrough though. On my remaining two journeys I spared them. Let them live in the lands between. And felt great about that decision.
