Question about Mod Engine 2 (Wanting to revert back to online)
I'm very new to the modding stuff, so I need some confirmation just to be sure.

I used mod engine 2 and Anti Cheat Toggler

If I want to go back online without the mod, all I have to do is replace the save file back to the clean one, and toggle EAC back on, that's it?

Or do I have to wipe the "mod" folder in mod engine 2, and also delete the Anti Cheat Toggler in the ER folder?

Hi,

first: when you use Mod Engine 2 you shouldn't use Anti Cheat Toggler or similar solution since Mod Engine 2 already does that for you.
( clarification: do you use these tools as dll in your true game directory? Or do you load them with the logic of Mod Engine 2? )

second: no, you don't need to delete or touch anything in the Mod Engine 2 folder. Just replace the save files.

Then you can just launch the game normally via Steam and the mods installed within Mod Engine 2 will not affect anything.

Ohh okay, thanks for clarifying that.
So I don't need the Anti Cheat Toggler at all and I should still be good right? As long as I start the normal game with the Clean Save File?

I copied the entire AC toggler documents (dll and all I think) into the true game directory, and just used the shortcut to Toggle the Anti Cheat.

Should I remove all of them?

Btw I used the Mod Engine 2 in a completely different folder, outside the true game directory. (And I didn't copy the AC toggler in this folder, only in the true game directory.)

Ok, yes, I suggest you to delete all the external files you put on the true game directory ( or at least rename the 'dinput8.dll' that you should have there so external dlls will not be loaded ).
Is it correct that Mod Engine 2 is in a separate folder but you should know that to start the game with mods according to the logic of Mod Engine 2 you have to run the 'launchmod_eldenring.bat'. You can find it in the Mod Engine 2 folder.
By default this will load all the mods inside the 'mod' subfolder inside Mod Engine 2. It will also start the game bypassing anticheats, etc. so you factually don't need AC toggler or similar.
And, as a result, with clean game true directory and unmodified save files you can safely start the game normally.

Yes I've been using the 'launchmod_eldenring.bat' to run the modded ER

Okay then, thank you so much for the help 🙏 really appreciate it
